Let's be clear: Fallout 3 is a tremendous game, but the best game of the year on the Playstation 3 console is Sega's little engine that could, more formally known as Valkyria Chronicles. With a revolutionary graphical and tactical interface, Welkin Gunther and Alicia Melchiott captured the imagination of gamers everywhere with a story that simply could not be forgotten and an ending that will haunt you forever. Fallout 3 came in a close second, but the bugs that plagued the PlayStation 3 version made it the least impressive of any of the iterations, thus giving Valkyria Chronicles the title for PS3 game of the year.
