Various News Update

Final Fantasy VIII has now surpassed Final Fantasy VII in terms of sales in Japan. As of March 10, Final Fantasy VIII has sold over 3.27 million copies compared to 3.26 million for Final Fantasy VII. Considering that the game came out only about a month ago, I'd say that those statistics are quite impressive and Square's goal of 4 million in sales will no doubt be achieved in the next couple months.

There's also a rumor flying around that Enix would release a remake of Dragon Quest VI for the Dreamcast. Considering the huge success of the original game on the Snes, it would sure be interesting to see and this would also mean a chance for the game to appear in the US since we never got the original game here. Of course, this is only a rumor and you shouldn't get your hopes up because personally I doubt this will ever happen.
