Sakura Taisen 3 and New Release Dates

First, the good news....
According to IGNDC, Red Co., makers of Thousand Arms for Playstation and the Sakura Taisen series for Saturn, is at work on Sakura Taisen 3. The first 2 games in the series were a mix of strategy RPG and dating elements. Despite high praise, neither was released outside of Japan. The third installment in the series is for the Dreamcast, and may be released in Japan before year's end.

Sakura Taisen 3 is expected to be at the Tokyo Game Show so look for coverage soon.

And now for the bad news....
Vagrant Story, Squaresoft's action RPG that has more than once been compared to Konami's Metal Gear Solid, has slipped. Planned for release in Japan this fall, it is now scheduled for Winter 1999. A new release date for the US, last stated to be early 2000, has not been announced.

Growlanser, the strategy RPG from Carrier Soft and Atlus, has been confirmed to be released in November in the Land of the Rising Sun. No US release has been announced thus far.
