Final Fantasy IX Secures Top Spot in US Sales

PC Data released the US console sales chart for the week of November 12th to 18th. Final Fantasy IX took the top spot in overall game sales for all systems, while it knocked Shenmue and both Pokémon: Silver and Gold out of the tops spots. Pokémon: Silver and Gold are still holding strong in the number three and four spots. Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask is holding it steady in the number five spot, while Shenmue takes a dive and lands in the number eight spot. RPGs dominate the overall list, with five out of the ten games from the genre. Final Fantasy IX and Shenmue both took the number one spots in their individual console lists.
