FFX, XI Info Revealed

In a recent interview with Gamespot.com, Hironobu Sakaguchi, the father of the Final Fantasy series settled some speculation about the upcoming Final Fantasy XI, namely that the game is being developed for multiple platforms. Though originally developed for the PlayStation 2 console and PC, Square plans ports of the title to the upcoming XBox and possibly GameCube.

Sakaguchi also mentioned that Final Fantasy XI will probably have a player-driven storyline, and will be a lot like Ultima Online in its ability to allow gamers from all around the world to log on and get into the game.

As for Final Fantasy X, Sakaguchi-san explained that the game's production is finished and is awaiting a release in Japan, though US gamers will have to wait until early next year for their copies.
