2003 is starting to shape up to be a year to remember for Star Wars fans. No, we're not getting Episode III anytime soon, nor will Jar-Jar Binks be sentenced to public execution for being the most irritating ILM creation in history. What we are getting is a pair of games that promise to bring the eternal conflict between the Light and Dark Sides of the Force back into our lives in their most immersive incarnations yet.So while it's obvious the first of the pair is the upcoming MMORPG, Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, the other is a role-playing experience more suitable for the console audience, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Slated for release on the Xbox this Summer and the PC later this Fall, this collaborative work between the industry giants of LucasArts and BioWare promises to take the genre to new heights. While we're a family of skeptics here at RPGFan, Knights of the Old Republic has certainly raised some eyebrows.
