SCE Posts Financial Results

Sony and its game subsidary Sony Computer Entertainment have released their financial results for the fiscal year (ending on March 31st 2003( today. The total (worldwide) PlayStation 2 shipment figures reached 51.20 million units of hardware (up from 28.68 million units a year ago) and 350 million units of software (up from 160.1 million units a year ago). Thereby Sony Computer Entertainment posted (consolidated) sales of 1015.7 billion yen (8.45 billion USD) and a consolidated profit of 50.7 billion yen (416.31 million USD).
