Sega to Release Phantasy Star Generation: 2 in February

Sega has opened the official website for the PlayStation 2 remake of its 1989 Genesis (Mega Drive) classic Phantasy Star II, titled Sega Ages 2500 Series Volume 17: Phantasy Star Generation: 2. The game will feature a more dramatic story, due to enhanced visuals of many event scenes and an easier-to-use battle system. The changes were made based on suggestions by some of the original title's developers. Furthermore, character designs and package illustrations have been mainly created by members of the Phantasy Star Online development team.Sega Ages 2500 Series Volume 17: Phantasy Star Generation: 2 will be available in Japan on February 24th for 2,500 yen ($24.38 US). Those who purchase the game will be treated to special loose-leaf liner notes, containing comments from the developer and illustrations.
