Yasunori Mitsuda Talks Future
12.30.04 - 5:56 PM

Dengeki Online today released a special feature on its website, containing plans for the new year by 39 Japanese game developers, among them Yasunori Mitsuda. The composer who has recently worked on the soundtracks of Garakuta Studio's Rakugaki Oukoku 2 - Maoujou no Tatakai and Taito's Yoshitaka Maruyama-directed action title Tsuki yo ni Saraba has big plans for 2005.

First, Mitsuda is cooperating with his old friend, Chrono series mastermind Masato Katou on an album called Kirite, which will be released sometime in the spring. This project will be something entirely new, as it is going to include not just music, but also stories and pictures. Furthermore, Mitsuda will re-visit one of his most critically acclaimed works by releasing a Chrono Cross arrange album in July. Both albums will be published by the composer's Procyon Studio/Sleigh Bells label.

Additionally, he will be involved in three to four games, even though he could not give away titles at this point.
