Nippon Ichi software was a relative unknown on this side of the Pacific before Disgaea: Hour of Darkness hit in 2003. That wasn't Nippon Ichi's first title in the US, however, as Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure had been released by Atlus USA in 2000 for the PlayStation.However, combined with the force of Phantom Brave and La Pucelle Tactics, Disgaea introduced US gamers to the developer that is Nippon Ichi.
