11.07.05 - 10:16 PM

Banpresto today announced, that it has revised its projections for the first half of the current fiscal year as well as the full fiscal year ending on March 31st 2006. For the full fiscal year the Bandai subsidiary now expects sales of 37.5 billion yen (317.13 million US), compared to previous projections speaking of 36 billion yen (304.44 million US). The net profit forecast was raised from 1.2 billion yen (10.5 million US) to 1.65 billion yen ($13.95 million US). If the company is capable of meeting this new forecast, it will have doubled its net profit compared to the previous fiscal year 2004/2005. One of the reasons behind today's announcement is the continued success of the 3rd Super Robot Taisen Alpha: Shuuen no Ginga he for PlayStation 2. The newest installment of Banpresto's flagship series was released in Japan on July 28th.
