New Odin Sphere Details Announced

Atlus announced some new bits of information regarding its upcoming PlayStation 2-based Action RPG Odin Sphere. In battle, the game's five protagonists can use a life energy known as Phozon in two different ways. One is to absorb the energy with one's weapon. Thereby the weapon will accumulate experience points. At the same time, it will be possible to unleash a powerful death blow, once enough Phozon has been absorbed by the weapon. Leveling up the weapon has two positive effects: Its attack power will increase and new, more powerful death blows will gradually become available. The second way is to use the energy to rapidly grow flowers which can be found on the ground. Once big enough, they will drop eatable fruits. These fruits can recover HP, offer experience points, or even increase a character's maximum HP stat.Odin Sphere will be available in Japan on May 17th for 6,980 yen ($59.20 USD).
