Soundtracks: The Misfit Update
04.04.08 - 2:49 PM
If you've been a reader of this site for a long time (particularly the Soundtracks section), you should know how I am. I like "themed" updates. And I generally get my way. But today, I'm scrapping a number of mini-themes and throwing them all together in one update for the sake of something greater: the four-digit mark.
With this update, RPGFan will have reviewed 994 soundtracks. We are nearing our 1,000 mark, and so we thought we'd clear the "backlog" of reviews in preparation. Every soundtrack reviewed brings us closer to the magical mark.
So what do we have today? Here's the list:
Atelier Series & Mana-Khemia Vocal Collection Volkslied 2 -- follow-up to the original "Volkslied" album, and a much-needed improvement to it as well. Review written by Jennifer Gann (my wife).
Symphonic Suite Dragon Quest VII Eden no Senshitachi -- The re-recorded, reprinted version of the Symphonic Suite series. Koichi Sugiyama cannot be stopped!
Fortune Quest: Roll the Dice -- reader "C.J." reviews the most obscure soundtrack to yet grace our humble site.
Policenauts F/N -- Easily my favorite album of the reviewed lot today; excellent arrangements await you!
MIDI Power Pro 3 Policenauts -- Not as good as the "F/N" arrangements, but it's still Policenauts, so we're in business.
Perfect Selection Snatcher Battle -- RPGFan's fearless leader, Eric Farand, reviewed this lovely album.
MIDI Power ver. 5.0 Snatcher -- More MIDI Power. Love it.
KOKIA - Follow the Nightingale / say goodbye & good day -- The opening and ending themes for the DS game Tales of Innocence.
There you have it! Six reviews to go...will you be part of the movement? The choice is yours: submit a soundtrack review to firstname.lastname@example.org if you feel so inclined.
