After reviewing these two import RPGs, editor James Q. Clark took on the soundtracks for the respective titles. First up is Hitoshi Sakimoto's Senjou no Valkyria ~ Gallian Chronicles (a.k.a. Valkyria Chronicles), a two-disc collection with excellent music. The other is Star Ocean: First Departure OST. It's also good, but sadly, it doesn't offer much beyond the soundtrack printed by Team Entertainment a few years prior.

As a bonus, I wrote up a soundtrack review for Compile Heart, RED, and Idea Factory's PlayStation 3 RPG Record of Agarest War (a.k.a. Agarest Senki). The battle themes for this OST are surprisingly powerful. Be sure to check it out.
