Dragon Quest Soundtrack Reprints Planned
Also, Dragon Quest IX OST announced.

We've worked extra-hard at RPGFan to make sure every Dragon Quest soundtrack has been reviewed. We're currently down one or two albums, but for the most part, if it's Sugiyama you want, we dish it out in spades. However, come August of 2009, we'll have our work cut out for ourselves.

Sugiyama's "SUGI" label is jumping ship to King Records (catalog number prefixes "KICA" and "KICC"). And from August to October of 2009, dozens of Dragon Quest albums will be reprinted on this label. And not just the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphonic Suites: brass ensembles, piano albums, and older versions of the symphonic suites will all be reprinted.

Along with these reprints, a new album, "Dragon Quest IX Synthesizer & OST" will be released on August 5th, 2009. The two disc set (cat. # KICA-1460/1) will feature the original music, but not a Symphonic Suite. That has yet to be announced.

As the reprints come about, we'll confirm the information on our current reviews, and if anything newly-recorded sneaks its way in, we'll review that too.
