FFXIII OST Announced for January Release
Five-disc limited edition forthcoming.
10.25.09 - 1:46 PM

Courtesy of a Japanese online store, a first batch of information concerning the original soundtrack set to accompany Final Fantasy XIII has surfaced. Like previous main Final Fantasy series installments, the soundtrack composed by Masahi Hamauzu (SaGa Frontier 2, Final Fantasy X, Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII) will ship on four discs. Although the number of songs has yet to be announced, the two main themes "Kimi ga iru kara" and "Eternal Love" as performed by songstress Sayuri Sugawara have been confirmed to be part of the album. In addition to the four CDs, the limited edition will include a fifth CD (a drama disc), a special case and a 32-page art book.

Carrying the catalog number SQEX-10178~82, the album's limited edition will go on sale in Japan on January 27th for 5,250 yen ($57.05 USD). The standard version (SQEX-10183~6) will be available on the same day, but only cost 3,990 yen ($43.36 USD).
