Just today, Square Enix opened a web site to apply for a beta account for their highly anticipated upcoming MMORPG,
Final Fantasy XIV.
Application entry requires, at a minimum, having a Square Enix ID (which can be obtained for free via Square Enix's website). Japanese, North American, and European gamers can apply.
Presently, no one knows when the beta servers will open, but previous statements from Square Enix suggested that they would come before the end of 2009.
