Dragon Quest Composer Talks DQX
The Wii title - or at least its music - should be completed next year.
05.02.11 - 6:35 PM

At a recent Dragon Quest series concert in Fukuoka, Japan, series composer Koichi Sugiyama took a few minutes to talk about his next soundtrack project - Dragon Quest X. During a talk session, he mentioned that he was working hard to complete the music for the next entry in Square Enix's popular RPG series sometime next year.

Series creator Yuji Horii had also mentioned Dragon Quest X in last month's issue of Nintendo Power, saying that the development process for the Wii title was going well. He promised that there would be an announcement regarding the game later this year.

The concert, held April 29th, was part of a 'Family Classic Concert' series. The Level-5-sponsored Fukuoka show had a focus on Dragon Quest III - the Kyushu Symphony Orchestra played 15 tracks from the game, with a Dragon Quest IX song for the encore.
