Square Enix announced today via Famitsu.com that a
Kingdom Hearts HD collection of sorts will be releasing for PlayStation 3 next year (in Japan so far). Titled
Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMix, the collection will contain HD versions of
Kingdom Hearts Final Mix and
Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories. It will also include HD cutscenes from
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days.
The two games included will also get trophy support. It makes us wonder if they're saving the rest, KHII included, for a '2.5' collection as a lead-in to Kingdom Hearts III... which, at this rate, is a long ways off. Unlike Final Fantasy X HD, at least this has a release window.
