Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn PS3 Screens, New Artwork
Some new and some familiar.
10.11.12 - 1:39 AM

Tonight Square Enix shared the most recent Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn screenshots - which also happen to be the first of the PlayStation 3 version. PS3 players will be able to access an action bar of 16 shortcuts of your choosing, grouped into two sets of 8 - each set is mapped to the directional pad and triangle/square/circle/X buttons - and you can switch back and forth between the two sets using L2 and R2. Apparently you can create up to 8 of these action bars (perhaps you have a lot of skills or just want to try out different mapping configurations).

The new artwork reveals, as always, familiar faces: Amon (an optional boss from Final Fantasy III), the summons Leviathan and Odin, 'skilled' Chocobos, and a 'level 40' dungeon - a first look at new, upcoming dungeons in the MMORPG.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is 'coming soon' for PS3 and PC.
