Miracle Warriors was a solid RPG in its day, and still is in a few aspects. Its difficulty is respectable and its graphics are quite nice for an 8-bit game. Other than Phantasy Star, Miracle Warriors was the only other true RPG released in the states for the Sega Master System (the phenomenal Ultima IV wasn't released in the US which is a shame).

Miracle Warriors' graphics weren't as colorful as other SMS games but were well detailed. Furthermore, the town graphics when talking to people were excellent. Unfortunately, enemies were not animated well and lacked the detail of other SMS games, while the battle scenes seemed rather rushed. Graphics 70%

Sound was uninspired, bland, and thoroughly forgettable. Even for 8-bit standards they were lacking. Sound effects were very well done however; when you whacked something it sounded like it got whacked ^_^. Sound 65%

The story line in Miracle Warriors was standard RPG fare. The king sends you on a journey to find others who are capable of protecting the land. Nowadays the plot is kind of old but at the time it wasn't. In fact it's told rather well. It's just a shame that it never got you to feel anything for your characters since they sorely lacked personality. Story Line 77%

Miracle Warriors played very well. The interface was easy to use and battles never dragged out very long. Its a fun little RPG and not nearly as short as most of its peers. Gameplay 80%

I love Miracle Warriors when it was released, and after playing through it again, recently, I found I still really like this game. Overall 73%

The town layout is an interesting change, and the townspeople animate well.

Battles aren't too long, and the sound effects really accompany the fight well.
