During today’s Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, Bandai Namco Entertainment and FromSoftware announced that Elden Ring will release for Nintendo Switch 2 sometime in 2025. Known as the Tarnished Edition, it will combine the base game with Shadow of the Erdtree, its sole expansion. Check out a brief trailer below!

Beyond all content alongside native portability, Elden Ring Tarnished Edition will also include new armour and several customisation features for Torrent. FromSoftware has confirmed that all additions in this new edition will come to other platforms.

Elden Ring puts players in the role of a Tarnished, found on the slopes of the Lands Between. In that arrival, they will explore an expansive open world, threading between punishing altercations against the environment and enemies solved with an array of weapons, magic, and cunning. The game prizes freedom in both playstyle and path above almost all else, leading players to see their Tarnished walk upon the path to become an Elden Lord.
